Job Description
The role involves supporting design staff by creating detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for land development projects, reviewing survey data, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely completion of assignments in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist design staff with drafting practices and procedures
- Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software to complete project drawings
- Produce project-specific drawings such as site plans, grading, storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer plans
- Review survey data and existing site conditions for development considerations
- Make edits and modifications to plans based on agency, municipality, or client revisions
- Communicate workflow status with Project Managers and Team Leaders
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- Previous design experience within Residential, Commercial or Industrial Land Development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D and related engineering software packages
- Ability to produce various drawings including soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking
- Ability to review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions and factors such as legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Ability to complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed
- Effective communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status to meet chargeability goals
