Job Description
The Associate Director of Power Generation at Atwell LLC is responsible for leading and supporting large-scale energy projects in solar, wind, BESS, transmission, and substations, providing technical guidance, managing teams, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to business growth and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Power Generation projects across Solar, BESS, Wind, Transmission, and Substation infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for engineering, design, and project execution activities.
- Manage and mentor Project Managers and technical staff to foster a high-performing team environment.
- Serve as a primary client contact to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.
- Drive project performance by managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Support business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
- Contribute to team growth through recruiting, onboarding, and developing engineering and project management talent.
- Assist in refining internal processes, standards, and delivery practices for operational improvements.
- Participate in annual planning, including forecasting, staffing, and market growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 8 years of experience in Power Energy, with a strong focus on utility-scale or large-scale power generation and delivery projects
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Solar, BESS, Wind, Transmission, Substation, or related infrastructure
- Proven experience in project management and client-facing roles
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of engineering and design workflows for power generation projects
- Ability to work in a hybrid or remote environment and travel as needed
