Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of low, medium, and high voltage transformers, inductors, power distribution units, and power conversion and control products.
Collaborate with program management and cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.
Generate product specifications for new R&D efforts and customer requirements.
Apply tools such as Cadence, Creo, and Rale to model and analyze electrical designs.
Generate complete manufacturing documentation, including schematic diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.
Perform MTBF and DFMEA analyses to validate reliability and mitigate design risk.
Develop and execute design verification test (DVT) procedures and support root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
Directly interface with customers to ensure product performance aligns with application and compliance requirements.
Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers and support best practices for design for manufacturability (DFM) and engineering excellence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum of 3 years in medium or high voltage electrical systems design.
Proven experience in transformer and power system development.
Deep understanding of electrical components used in power conversion and transformer applications.
Familiarity with agency compliance (UL, CSA, VDE, CE).
Proficiency with Cadence, Creo, Rale.
Familiarity with medium and high voltage design practices and manufacturing techniques.
Strong analytical, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Salary Range: $125,000-$175,000
