Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet quality standards through inspections, troubleshooting, developing corrective actions, and collaborating with teams to maintain product safety and quality while improving manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct First Article Inspections on internal and external products
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
  • Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
  • Assist in the closure of customer-related issues
  • Conduct Quality Management System audits
  • Participate in in-process and final inspection activities
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to develop controls and improvements
  • Analyze customer feedback and implement manufacturing changes as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field (B.S or B.A.), with a preference for Electronics Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical engineering-based role.
  • Understanding of ISO 13485 and AS9100 quality management standards.
  • Background in assembly manufacturing, preferably in power supplies or other related Electro-Mechanical operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, Internet Browsers, ERP systems, and experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Assembly Acceptability standards such as IPC 610, IPC 620, SAE, ANSI, or JSTD-001.
  • Experience with problem solving tools including fishbone diagram, 5S, 8D, visual factory design, and FMEA.
  • Ability to conduct First Article Inspections on internal and externally manufactured products.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze quality performance data.
  • Ability to investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
  • Ability to develop corrective actions, solutions, and process improvements.
  • Experience assisting with Quality Management System audits as per schedule.
  • Experience with In-process, DMIR, and Final Inspection activities.
  • Ability to collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Ability to analyze customer feedback, maintain records, and implement manufacturing changes when necessary.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to ensure processes and products meet established quality standards.
  • Strong technical writing skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to set and deliver on specific goals and targets.
