Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate and timely financial reports on Purchase Price Variance, Manufacturing Variances, and Inventory Adjustments, including scrap, during weekly and month-end closings.
Maintain and enhance costing methodologies to keep pace with changes in manufacturing processes.
Uphold strict corporate controls on costing, inventory cycle counts, and scrap management.
Conduct thorough analyses on purchase price variances and manufacturing variances to identify root causes and implement corrective actions in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations teams.
Ensure compliance with corporate inventory cycle count policies.
Act as a subject-matter expert on our ERP system (Epicor), focusing on product costing, and provide assistance to Cost Accountants at our foreign sites.
Engage in additional projects as required, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative approach.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred; however, direct experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting will be considered.
At least 3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a multi-entity manufacturing environment.
Certification in Management Accounting (CMA) is a plus but not mandatory.
A proactive, energetic, and inquisitive individual who is comfortable being hands-on.
Excellent multitasking skills to meet various time commitments.
Proven ability to communicate financial information in a meaningful way to non-financial personnel.
A team player who works well across all levels of the organization.
Salary Range: $105,000-$110,000
