Job Description
The Buyer Planner at Astrodyne TDI is responsible for coordinating production and inventory management to align with customer demands while optimizing stock levels. This role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient manufacturing and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing in line with customer demand.
- Collaborate with production teams to maximize production capacity and reduce lead times.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to achieve optimal stock levels, avoiding excess inventory and stockouts.
- Implement inventory control measures to improve inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
- Work closely with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure prompt and accurate order fulfillment.
- Liaise with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and improvement areas.
- Generate reports and track KPIs to provide actionable insights to management.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement by collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical), or Supply Chain Management.
- 2-3 years of direct experience in supply chain management, with a focus on production planning and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting data.
- Experienced in using inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Capable of multitasking and adapting to changing priorities.
