Job Description
The Regional Manager oversees the operation and maintenance of PV and Battery Storage plants, managing vendors, ensuring safety and performance, and supporting project development within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage vendors and service providers responsible for PV and Battery Energy Storage plant operations
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and promote a safety culture on-site
- Address operational issues proactively to minimize plant downtime
- Coordinate with technicians and engineers for maintenance and equipment readiness
- Manage vendor network, including mobilization and resolution of outages
- Maintain high plant availability and performance in collaboration with engineering teams
- Support asset management in budget creation, cost control, and efficiency improvements
- Assist in construction, commissioning, and testing of future projects
- Ensure proper spare parts inventory and maintenance support
- Mentor personnel to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Requirements
- Four years of experience managing PV or BESS facilities or ten years of experience in on-site PV and BESS operations with other management experience
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers and vendors
- Strong understanding of renewable energy regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies
