Job Description
The Procurement Associate Logistics is responsible for coordinating and managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory, analyzing logistics performance, and negotiating with logistics providers to support renewable energy projects. The role involves data management, process improvement, and collaboration with suppliers and carriers in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery according to OEM specifications
- Monitor, maintain, and audit inventory to support accurate reporting and ensure maintenance compliance with OEM requirements
- Manage RFP process for transportation, warehousing, and related services to support project needs and budgets
- Analyze logistics performance data and recommend process improvements to optimize operations
- Forecast storage and transportation costs to inform project business decisions
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers
- Negotiate commercial terms with logistics service providers for transportation and warehousing
- Develop and manage logistics documentation, including Bills of Lading, OEM specifications, and delivery forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, supply chain or a business discipline from an accredited institution.
- 1-5 years of sourcing procurement experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Ability and willingness to travel 50%.
