Job Description

The Manager, NERC Compliance at Arevon is responsible for ensuring that renewable energy projects comply with NERC, FERC, and other regulatory standards, while managing compliance programs, conducting analyses, and collaborating with various teams to maintain compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, and other applicable standards
  • Build, implement, and manage a NERC Compliance Program
  • Manage compliance policies and procedures for NERC Reliability Standards
  • Administer and maintain compliance management applications and tracking software
  • Lead compliance analyses, gap analyses, and risk assessments
  • Develop and track self-reports and mitigation plans for noncompliance
  • Support regulatory initiatives such as self-certifications and audits
  • Identify, document, and track potential non-compliance issues
  • Coordinate regulatory filings and data submittals
  • Monitor new NERC Reliability Standards and develop implementation plans
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for NERC Reliability Standards
  • Create and maintain an annual compliance schedule
  • Organize and maintain a compliance evidence repository
  • Review technical documents to determine compliance
  • Collaborate with teams to prepare projects for NERC compliance
  • Analyze NERC lessons learned and regulatory developments
  • Engage with industry and regulators to influence standards development
  • Assist in creating and maintaining compliance training

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience with NERC Reliability Standards 693 and CIP, preferably with standards applicable to GO GOP.
  • 2-3 years of experience administering and/or working with compliance workflow databases or software.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, technical or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate technical understanding of power plant systems, design, and operation as they relate to NERC and FERC regulations and standards.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent people skills, organizational and time-management skills, drive for results, attention to detail, and communication skills.
