Job Description

The Manager, Environmental Compliance at Arevon is responsible for overseeing environmental compliance for renewable energy projects, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations while developing strategies to enhance environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a comprehensive environmental compliance strategy for renewable energy projects.
  • Develop and manage an environmental compliance program ensuring adherence to environmental laws.
  • Create and maintain compliance trackers for environmental requirements and commitments.
  • Report on environmental deficiencies and lead investigations and corrective actions.
  • Prepare periodic air and water quality reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and update project-specific environmental plans.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on environmental compliance and provide training.
  • Assist in reviewing environmental regulations for herbicide and vegetation management.
  • Support vendor management for environmental services and review proposals.
  • Liaise with agencies to ensure project environmental compliance.
  • Create compliance handoff materials for project transitions.
  • Collaborate with the Sustainability ESG team on environmental activities.

Requirements

  • 7 years of environmental compliance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, Ecology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Working knowledge of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), CARB, and national and state level environmental policies and regulations.
  • Experience in regulations regarding protected species in California and throughout the US for construction permit close-out and ongoing operations.
