Job Description
The Accounting Manager at Arevon will oversee a range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, compliance, contract review, and supporting audits, within a dynamic renewable energy company environment.
Responsibilities
- •Manage capital calls, distributions, and reporting for investor commitments
- •Ensure compliance with controls, policies, and statutory requirements
- •Assist in audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
- •Complete month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial close processes
- •Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- •Review complex contracts and support financial analysis
- •Set up and maintain budgets and cost structures in accounting software
- •Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to financing parties
Requirements
- •A minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in an accounting department; relevant experience in a nationally ranked public accounting firm or relevant renewable energy company is highly desired; experience in a shared services center environment is helpful.
- •Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures.
- •Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- •Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
- •Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and related applications.
- •Strong working knowledge of NetSuite and related accounting information systems, or related applications in a construction environment preferred.
- •Education: Minimum BS/BA in Accountancy or Finance from a major institution; superior academic performance is required; MBA is highly desired.
- •CPA license is highly desired.
- •Willingness to travel and work early or late hours as required to support operations across multiple time zones such as New York, London, and Abu Dhabi.
- •Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining alignment with team objectives.
- •Ability to perform a broad range of accounting duties including completing month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial close processes, preparing journal entries, ensuring proper general ledger coding, and supporting monthly closings.
- •Experience in reviewing complex contracts.
- •Experience in setting up and maintaining budgets and cost structures in accounting software.
- •Experience preparing and distributing monthly operating and finance reports to financing parties.
- •Assist in audits and interface with external auditors and tax compliance professionals.
