Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing tax planning, compliance, and consulting services tailored to their needs.
Stay current on industry trends, tax laws, and regulations so we can help clients with forward-looking tax strategies.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and collaboration.
Requirements
CPA or other relevant credential required.
Recent experience with a public accounting firm.
10 or more years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting, with a focus on the Real Estate industry.
Deep knowledge of partnership taxation and understanding of real estate ownership structures.
Experience with investment partnerships and real estate funds, including complex allocations, waterfall structures, and tiered ownership.
Familiarity with real estate–specific tax strategies such as 1031 like-kind exchanges, cost segregation and depreciation planning, passive activity rules, and multistate tax (SALT) and property tax compliance.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
