Job Description
A Senior Tax Manager in the Client Accounting Services team at a fast-growing CPA and advisory firm, responsible for managing tax-related services, supporting client opportunities, and contributing to the firm's growth and innovation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee client tax engagements within the Client Accounting Services team.
- Provide tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to clients.
- Supervise and review work of tax staff and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize client outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and industry developments relevant to clients.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or a related field.
- Have a proven track record of managing tax engagements and leading tax teams.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Hold a CPA license or equivalent certification.
- Have experience working with clients in a professional services environment, preferably within a CPA or advisory firm.
- Possess strong leadership and team management skills to oversee a team of tax professionals.
- Be able to analyze complex tax issues and develop effective solutions.
- Have excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Be capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Be proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
