Key Responsibilities
- Receive and track tax notices received by clients
- Work with clients and Tax Department personnel to gather data
- Use CCH Workflow to track due dates and ensure timely responses
- Assist Tax Controversy and Employment Tax team to prepare and submit responses and other documentation to tax authorities
- Proofread and deliver correspondence to clients
- Handle phone calls and emails, responding to or redirecting inquiries as necessary
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
- preparation of workpapers
- filing of sales tax returns
Requirements
- Preferred Associates/Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related courses.
- Minimum of five (2) years related experience in a support role, preferably CPA or law firm
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential.
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced and time sensitive office environment
- Aptitude for working with a diverse group of important external clients as well as internal associates at all levels of the organization
- Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary
- Organizational skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently
- Proofreads for spelling, grammar and formatting, making appropriate changes.
- Ability to learn quickly and become proficient with Aprio’s applications
- Able to work overtime hours as needed
- Self-motivated professional with proven independent judgment and decision making
- Amenable to work night shift starting from 8PM-5AM PHT
- Work Setup: Hybrid – Initial 2 months onsite, followed by a hybrid schedule of 2 days onsite and 3 days work-from-home per week. Work location is either at our Clark or Makati site.
