Job Description
This internship offers hands-on experience in tax and audit services, allowing students to work with diverse clients, develop professional skills, and participate in real-world accounting projects within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for clients.
- Work with partners to develop and deliver innovative tax strategies.
- Support audit teams in evaluating financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting issues.
- Help improve clients' operational efficiencies and assess the quality of financial information.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide relevant accounting and tax support.
Requirements
- High-potential accounting students interested in Audit and Tax who want to continue Aprio's standard of excellence and dive straight into hands-on accounting projects.
- Candidates must be enrolled in an accounting program or related field, with a focus on developing foundational knowledge in accounting, audit, and tax.
- Ability to work in the San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas, TX office locations for the duration of the internship program.
- Willingness to participate in the Spring 2027 internship from January to April or the Summer 2027 internship from June to August.
- Ability to work with small, medium, and large clients and benefit from a diverse client base.
- Ability to interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services, and work closely with partners on delivering tax planning strategies.
- Ability to work with businesses to improve financial reporting capabilities, evaluate accounting issues, and stay ahead of new accounting regulations.
- Ability to work with a team of credentialed audit experts to help companies assess the quality of information used for strategic decisions and identify areas for operational improvement.
- Willingness to participate in a group project involving volunteering and social impact as part of the internship program.
- Ability to engage in networking events and activities to meet other employees and partners within the company.
