Job Description
The internship offers hands-on experience in tax and audit services, allowing students to work with diverse clients, develop professional skills, and participate in team projects and networking activities within a dynamic CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tax services including planning, consulting, and compliance for multiple clients
- Interact with clients to provide tailored tax strategies
- Work with partners to develop and implement innovative tax planning solutions
- Assist in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls for audit clients
- Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
- Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
- Build relationships with middle to large-sized audit and tax clients
Requirements
- High-potential accounting students interested in Audit and Tax who want to continue Aprio's standard of excellence and dive straight into hands-on accounting projects.
- Availability to participate in the Spring 2027 Internship Program (January - April 2027) or Summer 2027 Internship Program (June - August 2027).
- Willingness to work at the Atlanta, GA or Conyers, GA offices; applications for other offices can be found on Handshake or the Aprio Careers page.
- Ability to work with small, medium, and large clients across diverse industries and develop a solid general foundation in accounting.
- Ability to interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services, and work closely with partners on delivering tax planning strategies.
- Ability to work with businesses and industry leaders to improve financial reporting capabilities, evaluate accounting issues, and stay ahead of new accounting regulations.
- Ability to work with teams to help companies assess the quality of information used for strategic decisions and identify areas for operational improvement.
- Willingness to work with credentialed audit experts to help clients avoid financial and business risks, improve internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues.
- Ability to work with diverse and energetic teams in a professional environment.
- Willingness to participate in group projects involving volunteering and social impact as part of the internship program.
