Job Description
The CAS Construction Intern supports client accounting services for construction clients by assisting with post-transaction activities, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and observing client interactions to gain hands-on experience in accounting processes and client partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Support post-transaction accounting activities for construction clients
- Participate in reconciliations of financial data
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Understand transaction flow through the general ledger
- Learn how reconciliations and financial packages are prepared
- Observe client interactions to understand ongoing CAS support
Requirements
- Support post transaction accounting activities, participate in reconciliations, assist with financial statement preparation, and observe client interactions to better understand how Client Accounting Services (CAS) supports construction clients after a transaction.
- Work closely with the CAS Construction team to understand how transactions flow through the general ledger, how reconciliations and financial packages are prepared, and how accounting teams partner with clients on an ongoing basis.
- Support interns in supporting post transaction accounting activities, participating in reconciliations, and assisting with financial statement preparation as part of the internship program.
- Be enrolled as a student in an academic program related to accounting, finance, or a related field (implied by internship context).
- Availability to participate in the Summer 2026 internship program from June to August.
- Ability to work in the San Antonio, TX office (or other Aprio offices if applying elsewhere).
