Job Description
A Perception Software Engineer specializing in SLAM who will design and develop mapping and localization algorithms to enable autonomous robots to navigate and understand complex environments in real-time, contributing to innovative robotic systems across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and refine SLAM software for real-time mapping and navigation of robots
- Develop algorithms related to state estimation, registration, and loop closure detection
- Optimize the accuracy and efficiency of localization and mapping processes
- Contribute to advancing geometric mapping and semantic understanding of environments
- Enhance the capabilities of robotic platforms through software development
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and refining software for mapping and localization in robotic systems.
- Expertise in working with state estimation, registration algorithms, and loop closure detection for real-time environment mapping and navigation.
- Strong background in software architecture and development related to SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) systems.
- Experience in optimizing the accuracy and efficiency of localization and mapping processes in robotic applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex robotic software projects involving geometric mapping and semantic understanding of environments.
