Job Description
A Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining internal software solutions to support IT operations and business processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring system security and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement software applications and tools to automate IT processes and improve system functionality
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in various programming languages
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain APIs and system integrations
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including testing and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications and user manuals
- Ensure software security best practices are followed
- Support and guide IT team members on developed applications
- Participate in agile development processes like sprint planning and stand-ups
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or Developer, with a focus on developing applications for internal IT use or business process automation.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C, or JavaScript.
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, including writing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with API development and integration using RESTful or SOAP protocols.
- Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
