Anew Climate is seeking a proactive Finance Intern to support financial analysis, modeling, reporting, and process improvements within a fast-growing decarbonization company, providing hands-on experience in corporate finance and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly and ad-hoc variance analysis, document drivers, and support automation of reports
Build, update, and analyze project-level financial and valuation models, including sensitivity and scenario analyses
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards for financial and operational metrics
Reconcile actuals to budgets, investigate discrepancies, and update dashboards accordingly
Monitor commodity price trends, produce analyses, and assess impacts
Prepare summaries and presentation materials for leadership and cross-functional teams
Document data sources and reporting processes, and suggest process improvements
Requirements
Working on a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or relevant field
Excellent computer skills including a high degree of ability to effectively utilize a variety of internal and external software resources to gather and analyze a wide range of data
Strong skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and self-motivation skills with a solution seeking mindset
Effective communicator and an ability to work cross-functionally across the organization (e.g., with Business Development, Operations, Accounting)
Proven experience to finish work, projects, and duties as assigned and complete them by strict deadlines
Prior professional experience, internships, and/or collegiate research (preferred but not mandatory)
Must reside in or be willing to self-relocate to the Houston area for the duration of the internship
