Job Description
This role involves managing daily operations within the RNG (renewable natural gas) sector, including data collection, record keeping, compliance reporting, and supporting environmental attribute generation and sales, primarily through document processing, data validation, and system development to ensure regulatory adherence and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operations within the RNG operations group, including document gathering, record keeping, and interfacing with the EPA database.
- Generate environmental attributes (EAs) from RNG production for credit generation and sales.
- Participate in compliance programs such as EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and State Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS).
- Collect and verify monthly data and documents from RNG dispensing stations and update internal databases.
- Archive documents and share them with qualified third-party auditors with high attention to detail.
- Support client onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control on data collection and inputs.
- Process and validate large datasets in Excel and update relevant tracking databases.
- Coordinate with operations, account managers, and supervisors through routine check-ins and reporting.
- Develop and improve systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Fluent English spoken, read and written, with proficiency in technical business communication.
- Ability to work independently and be focus driven if working remotely.
- University Degree or relevant working experience preferred.
- Prior experience in renewable energy, preferably in natural gas and electricity.
- Knowledgeable in North American carbon reduction policy or program.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and auditing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including ability to draft professional formatted templates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including ability to process large amounts of data and use advanced functions and formulas.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Asana project management software.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to process large amounts of data and versatile knowledge of advanced functions and formulas in Excel.
- Some travel may be required for annual team meetings.
