Job Description
This role involves managing day-to-day operations within the RNG (renewable natural gas) group, including data collection, record keeping, compliance reporting, and supporting environmental attribute generation and sales, primarily through administrative and data management tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operations within the RNG operations group, including document gathering, record keeping, and interfacing with the EPA database.
- Generate environmental attributes (EAs) from RNG production for credit generation and sales.
- Participate in compliance programs such as EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS).
- Collect and verify monthly data and documents from RNG dispensing stations and update internal databases.
- Archive documents and share them with third-party auditors with high attention to detail.
- Support client onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control on data collection and inventory tracking.
- Facilitate data requests for third-party auditors and process large datasets using Excel.
- Coordinate with operations, account managers, and supervisors through routine check-ins and reporting.
- Develop and improve systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Fluent English spoken, read, and written, with proficiency in technical business communication.
- Ability to work independently and be focus driven if working remotely.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including the ability to draft professional formatted templates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to process large amounts of data and utilize advanced functions and formulas.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Asana project management software.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- University Degree or relevant working experience in environmental, auditing, or related fields preferred.
- Prior experience in renewable energy, preferably in natural gas and electricity.
- Knowledgeable in North American carbon reduction policy or program.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and auditing.
- Some travel may be required for annual team meetings.
