Job Description

This role involves providing administrative and technical support to the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) team, including data management, compliance with environmental standards, and assisting with market analysis and client coordination in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the RNG-Technical Services team.
  • Assist in compliance with EPA's RFS and California's LCFS programs.
  • Collect and manage data from RNG facilities for monthly reporting.
  • Populate and maintain greenhouse gas emission models and trackers.
  • Update internal databases with regulatory changes and document archiving.
  • Support client onboarding and ongoing compliance processes.
  • Perform quality assurance and validation of data and inputs.
  • Prepare and send transactional templates and facilitate data requests for auditors.
  • Assist with quality assurance protocols and data processing in Excel.
  • Coordinate routine reporting and communication with operations, account managers, and supervisors.
  • Develop and improve systems and procedures for operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English spoken, read, and written, with proficiency in technical business communication.
  • Must be eligible to work in Hungary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including the ability to draft professional formatted templates.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to process large amounts of data and utilize advanced functions and formulas.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform general administrative support tasks, including collecting recurring monthly documents and data from clients operating RNG facilities, maintaining recordkeeping trackers, and updating internal databases with changes in regulations.
  • Support team leads during client onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) on data collection and inputs on the tracker of renewable fuel inventory.
  • Fill out monthly transactional statement templates with facility-specific inputs.
  • Send out emails to clients for completed forms, questions, and information requests.
  • Facilitate facility-specific data requests for third-party auditors.
  • Assist with quality assurance protocol (QAP) functions.
  • Process and validate large amounts of Excel data regularly.
  • Participate in compliance programs related to EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and California's Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS).
  • Collect and populate data for greenhouse gas (GHG) emission models and maintain related documentation.
  • Maintain a recordkeeping tracker and report status to supervisors.
  • Update internal recordkeeping databases with changes in regulations.
  • Support routine check-ins and reporting with Operations, Account Managers, and Supervisors.
  • Contribute to ongoing development of systems and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Engage in routine communication and coordination with team members and clients.
  • Travel to Budapest Office may be required twice a week, with travel expenses for public transport reimbursed.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid remote home office environment with a flexible weekly shift schedule (morning, afternoon, evening).
  • Preferred: University degree or relevant working experience, especially in engineering, math, science, technology, environmental fields, or auditing.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in renewable energy, specifically in natural gas and electricity sectors.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of North American carbon reduction policies or programs.
  • Preferred: Background in greenhouse gas emissions, carbon intensity, environmental commodities, or life cycle emissions.
  • Preferred: Experience with regulatory requirements and auditing processes.
