Job Description
The Battery Channel Manager is responsible for developing and growing partnerships with solar battery installers in Australia, helping to increase battery sales and adoption by promoting Amber's automation products and solutions, thereby supporting the renewable energy transition.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and grow partnerships with solar battery installers across Australia.
- •Drive sales of Amber's automation products to increase battery adoption and ROI for installers.
- •Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to support channel growth.
- •Identify and add new partnerships to expand the battery channel.
- •Contribute to scaling the high-priority channel to support the renewable energy transition.
Requirements
- •Experience in sales or business development, specifically in growing partnerships with solar battery installers or similar energy technology providers.
- •Ability to work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product, and operations, as well as external partners, to grow Amber's automation products in line with retail business objectives.
- •Self-motivated and highly driven to add new partnerships and grow the battery channel.
- •Willingness to work in a team environment at the cutting edge of new energy technology as part of Amber’s Sales, Marketing, and Growth team.
- •Location preference for candidates based in Queensland (QLD) or South Australia (SA), or alternatively within the eastern seaboard of Australia.
- •Flexibility to work 4 days a week if desired, with mostly remote work and occasional in-person meetings.
- •Applicants must be already based in Australia; applications from candidates outside Australia will not be considered.
- •Ability to include a CV, Cover Letter, and answer specific questions about insights into solar battery installers and how those insights can be applied to Amber’s partnerships, as part of the application process.
- •Participation in a multi-stage interview process including a screening interview with the hiring manager, a mini exercise and case study interview with two senior managers, and a final interview with a co-CEO or co-founder and a peer.
