Job Description
The Manager, Infrastructure Energy, EMEA North is responsible for powering AWS's data centres across northern and central Europe through the full lifecycle of power — setting the strategy, originating and securing capacity, delivering grid connections, and managing compliance with national grid codes and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in procurement, budgeting, forecasting, or asset management
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Travel up to 20% of the time
- 10+ years of experience in the energy sector, including demonstrated progression into management or regional leadership roles
- Proven experience in utility engagement, and power origination & securing or grid interconnection delivery across multiple jurisdictions
- Technical knowledge in grids and HV/MV power infrastructure
- Fluent in English; German and/or French, highly desirable
- Advanced degree, or MBA
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
- Experience building and leading teams in a matrix/managed culture
- Deep understanding of energy regulatory frameworks across northern and central European markets
- Experience driving energy policy reform or regulatory advocacy
- Commercially astute, with experience in cost optimisation without compromising reliability
