Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment
Assisting with root cause analysis of equipment failures
Troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Taking daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment
Using internal Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage building workflows
Interacting with third-party vendors and contractors working on site
Internship Structure
Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours per week) for 12 consecutive weeks. This position requires the intern to report to work on site daily. Intern schedules are typically day schedules. Intern schedules are typically day schedules, Monday through Friday.
Please note that full-time Engineering Operations Technician roles operate on a rotating shift pattern, which may include days, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Candidates should be willing and able to commit to shift work upon transitioning to a full-time position.

About the team
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Requirements
In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, graduating in 2027/2028.
Professional English proficiency, both written and verbal
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, with strong time management skills
Our Data Centres are not served by public transport, so you will need your own means of getting to site.
Experience in program or project management
Knowledge of mechanical systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems, controls)
