Job Description
The Release Manager at AlertMedia will oversee the software release lifecycle for their SaaS products, ensuring quality, security, and efficiency while collaborating with engineering teams to implement continuous improvements and automation in deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire software release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordinating, and deploying releases.
- Evaluate and coordinate application changes across multiple development teams and applications.
- Bundle releases, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with process quality and security gates.
- Run build pipelines, workflow automation, and other CI/CD and deployment tooling.
- Troubleshoot build deployment automation issues within the release pipelines.
- Develop additional scripts and automation capabilities within pipelines and tooling.
- Manage a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure.
- Contribute to innovative development and new ideas related to technology in product line and release management.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a Release Management role within a Product or SaaS focused software development organization.
- Strong experience with Jira or similar development project and release management software.
- Strong experience with Jenkins, CircleCI, and/or similar code driven workflow and deployment automation tooling.
- Experience with AWS or other public cloud service platform.
- Knowledge of and working experience with Docker and Containerization.
- Experience managing large scale high availability deployments.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- English proficiency in written and oral communication is required.
