Job Description
The DevSecOps Engineer at AlertMedia is responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS, integrating security best practices into development workflows, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance security and reliability of the company's products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS using IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous deployment and integration
- Implement and evaluate security best practices across systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Proactively address security vulnerabilities, conduct security assessments, and improve security tools and processes
- Manage large-scale deployments ensuring system reliability and scalability during critical events
- Research cyber security threats, trends, and attack vectors to enhance security measures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into development workflows and ensure best practices
- Manage security automation tools such as SAST, DAST, and other security testing solutions
Requirements
- A B.A. or B.S. degree is desired.
- At least 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services.
- At least 3 years of experience in a dedicated DevSecOps Engineering role.
- Experience with network, infrastructure, container orchestration, and application security best practices.
- Strong expertise with Linux, Docker, containerization, and networking fundamentals.
- Comfortable writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) code.
- Experience managing large-scale deployments in cloud environments.
- Experience securing multiple AWS accounts and environments, including managing access between accounts for users and some resources.
- Experience with security automation tools such as SAST, DAST, and CSMP.
- Experience implementing shift-left principles in CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of authentication technologies such as SAML and OAuth.
- Proficiency in at least one coding language, with Python being a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- This role is open for remote work location in Mexico.
