  • Take part in the entire project life cycle, from requirements development to deployment, with lots of cross-team collaboration with iOS engineers, backend teams, QA, and product managers.
  • Design and implement real-time video streaming features using Android media frameworks, including HLS/RTSP protocols.
  • Build responsive, performant UIs following Material Design guidelines and modern Android best practices.
  • Engage in the research, evaluation, and application of new Android technologies and methodologies to solve challenging project goals.
  • Exercise good judgment. Know when to work quickly, and when to build a robust solution.
  • Bring your ideas! We want our engineers to collaborate on product development, not blindly build to a spec.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of professional Android development experience • Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Java experience is a plus)
  • Experience with Android Studio, Android SDK, and modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, MVP)

  • Understanding of asynchronous programming using Coroutines and Flow
  • Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies in mobile applications

Benefits & Perks

  • Collaborate with outstanding people: We have a strong focus on teamwork, and we work to create a collaborative and welcoming environment that enables our teams to excel.
  • Make an immediate impact: You can expect to be given real responsibility for bringing new mobile features to millions of users. You will be empowered to perform as soon as you join the team!
  • Work with the latest technologies: You'll gain exposure to cutting-edge mobile and IoT technology. Our tech stack includes Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines/Flow, and integration with our backend services.
  • Be Empowered: We don't want to micro-manage you. We barely want to tell you what to do. We want you to own features and bring your experience to make those products best in class.
  • Long-term employment based on a permanent employment contract (CoE).
  • Attractive benefits package: including medical care, life insurance, sports package, annual budget for professional development ($2,000).
