Job Description

The role involves managing cross-functional engineering projects in an Agile environment for a technology company specializing in IoT and smart security solutions, focusing on hardware, embedded systems, and firmware development to support product design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and product teams to scope, integrate, and deliver software changes in an Agile environment
  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives to ensure requirements are accurately captured and implemented
  • Manage project development lifecycle and team tasks using hybrid Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve dependencies, risks, and prioritization conflicts
  • Understand and coordinate development processes for hardware and firmware product design and delivery
  • Establish and track project milestones, prioritize deliverables, and manage cross-project dependencies
  • Create solutions to aggregate information across projects and technical groups
  • Coordinate with local and remote team leads to ensure project success using project management tools
  • Communicate project status and reports to engineering, product, and program management teams
  • Maintain and improve engineering processes and documentation, including formal delivery to third parties

Requirements

  • A B.S. in Engineering discipline or higher-level degree, or relevant job experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on project management and cross-functional engineering team experience.
  • Experience managing technical software development projects in a team environment.
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding and coordination of development needs across multiple teams.
  • Ability to context switch, desire to learn, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to connect with people and build working relationships.
  • Customer service mentality and willingness to resolve issues completely.
  • Minimal travel possible, ranging from 0 to 5%.
