Job Description

The HR Operations Specialist for Compliance, Policy, and Immigration at Alarm.com is responsible for ensuring HR compliance with regulations, maintaining the employee handbook, managing audit requests, and overseeing immigration processes, while collaborating with HR leadership on various initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Advise HR management on compliance requirements and maintain compliance tracking tools.
  • Partner with the legal team to update the employee handbook.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests.
  • Address employee inquiries and ensure a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on special projects.
  • Assist the HR Technology team with reporting needs.
  • Lead HR department quality control initiatives.
  • Support effective processes and compliance within the public company environment.
  • Oversee the Immigration program and collaborate with sponsored employees and counsel.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in HR or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on HR operations, compliance, and quality control.
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and familiarity with HR technology tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex HR issues.
  • Expertise in employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Client-focused and committed to providing a high level of service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
