Job Description

The Data Center Technician is responsible for managing and supporting daily operations within the data center, including hardware setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance while adhering to security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support daily operations of the data center.
  • Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure.
  • Ensure infrastructure organization adhering to data center standards.
  • Perform data center installation, including racking of equipment.
  • Conduct routine hardware checks, preventive maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with data center, network, and systems engineering teams.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of physical assets and consumables.
  • Troubleshoot issues and assist with services with other teams and vendors.
  • Participate in capacity planning for growth and new technology initiatives.
  • Perform cable management duties, including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain Security and Compliance standards.
  • Follow established security protocols to protect data center assets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role working in Data Centers.
  • Proficient with server hardware, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure.
  • Ability to perform data center installation such as racking of equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Implement, maintain and ensure all Security and Compliance standards are met in our data centers.
  • Follow established security protocols to protect data center assets and monitor access to the facility.
  • Ability to work from our data centers in Ashburn, VA and our Tysons, VA office.
