Job Description
The role involves supporting trading operations at Akaysha Energy, focusing on energy market analysis and portfolio management, with opportunities for professional development towards a Senior Trader position in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as duty trader
- Responsible for the portfolio when on desk
- Implement the team’s trading strategies
- Ensure compliance with applicable market rules and regulatory obligations
- Participate in on-call roster
- Contribute to the development and execution of trading strategies
- Develop policies and procedures for the NEM and international energy markets
- Interface with broader Akaysha Team to share market information
Requirements
- 1-2 years trading experience
- Experience in physical energy trading or trading analysis
- Strong ICT skills
- Independent self-directed
- Experience in electricity spot trading energy constrained assets (BESS, hydro, gas) highly regarded
- Must be an Australian citizen, hold permanent residency status or have existing AU working rights
