Job Description
The role involves managing insurance policies and initiatives for Akaysha Energy, supporting the General Manager in ensuring compliance and risk management across corporate and project insurances, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external brokers in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all insurance policies in Australia and globally.
- Lead annual renewal processes and assess new insurance policies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to manage corporate and project insurances.
- Identify and address insurance risks associated with business activities.
- Provide administrative support for insurance policies, including renewals and policy reviews.
- Facilitate relationships to ensure successful project outcomes and adherence to timelines.
- Support annual and project budget processes to reflect insurance costs accurately.
- Develop internal policies and procedures for the insurance process and deliver training.
- Manage claims submissions and prepare insurance reports.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen, hold permanent residency status, or have existing AU working rights to apply for this role.
- Demonstrated experience working with external insurance brokers in the energy sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing insurance-related projects or initiatives in the energy sector.
- Energy Industry expertise in the NEM and understanding of insurance policies and requirements for energy companies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse information and solve problems, showcasing resourcefulness, perseverance, and financial and commercial astuteness.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills such as consultation, liaison, and negotiation to support stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to teamwork and maintain an organized, open, and approachable working style.
