Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer, Pressure Vessel at AIR COMPANY will support the design, selection, and evaluation of pressure vessels and related equipment systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. This role involves collaboration with the engineering team to enhance process designs and manage technical specifications and vendor proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the design development of equipment systems and redesign of existing systems
- Prepare pressure vessel package specifications
- Clarify vendor proposals
- Develop technical bid evaluations
- Create technical requisition purchase packages
- Execute equipment design reviews
- Support all phases of pressure vessel and pressure system design, fabrication, repair, alteration, testing, inspection, and fitness-for-service analysis
- Conduct reviews of vendor drawings, calculations, and other documentation
- Complete mechanical, thermal, and structural design and related analysis of pressure vessel assemblies
- Identify specific pressure vessel services involved in various equipment
- Work closely with the Engineering team to provide mechanical and equipment support for process designs
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- 3-5 years of working experience on reactors, separation columns, heat exchangers, high pressure storage vessels
- Experience in Industrial Gases, Oil Gas, or Refining and PetroChemical Industry highly desirable
- Knowledge of ASME codes, API standards and NBIC regulations
- Knowledge of US local regulations CFR is a plus
- Familiar with safety protocols for handling hazardous chemicals and process HAZOP
- Team player, extremely organized, attention to detail, and strong ability to multitask
