Job Description
A full-stack Software Engineer II role focused on developing and enhancing core backend and frontend features of Affinity's relationship intelligence platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop critical product areas to ensure customer and business success
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to improve the product
- Define and implement backend data models and core system components
- Build and enhance frontend interfaces, including design systems and visualizations
- Write scalable server-side code using Ruby and PostgreSQL
- Develop user interfaces with React and modern component-based frameworks
- Design relational database systems to optimize performance and scalability
- Contribute ideas to improve the product and development processes
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience as a full-stack software engineer, including familiarity with the different pieces of technology involved in building modern web applications.
- Experience applying AI tools and best practices to enhance efficiency, code quality, and delivery of business objectives.
- Experience writing server-side code leveraging modern Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) practices using Ruby and PostgreSQL.
- Experience building interfaces with React and modern component-based interfaces.
- A strong understanding of relational databases and the ability to design and implement systems that scale and avoid performance bottlenecks.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: 104,000 to 130,000 CAD
