Job Description
The Investments Associate at Acumen West Africa will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in early-stage companies focused on tackling poverty in the region, conducting due diligence, and supporting portfolio management and impact assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate new investment opportunities.
- Conduct due diligence and investment analysis.
- Prepare investment documentation for the Investment Committee.
- Collect, extract, and document investment-specific insights.
- Analyze metrics data for investment decisions and fundraising.
- Coordinate impact assessments with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in actuarial science, business administration, economics, or any related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or investment management, including experience with financial and operational due diligence of early-stage companies.
- Superior financial and business analysis skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present arguments and analysis to Acumen management, partners, and investees.
- Ability to take initiative with research and analysis and produce valuable results in conditions of uncertainty.
- Permanently authorized to work in Nigeria.
