Job Description
The Environmental Project Engineer will manage and support a variety of remediation projects, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting services to clients. The role involves leading technical tasks, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and complete technical tasks for remediation projects.
- Conduct concept development and pre-design investigations.
- Design, construct, and operate remediation systems.
- Perform corrective measures feasibility studies and data management.
- Prepare detailed design plans and specifications.
- Evaluate remediation construction bids.
- Manage brownfields remediation and redevelopment projects.
- Conduct in-situ and ex-situ soil and groundwater remediation.
- Evaluate and mitigate vapor intrusion.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage construction documentation.
- Select, coordinate, and manage subcontractors.
- Estimate costs and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Write technical reports and interact with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental remediation and consulting services.
- Strong technical experience delivering high-quality remediation services to projects across various geographies and core markets.
- Experience in leading and completing technical tasks for remediation projects, including concept development, pre-design investigations, remediation system design, construction, and operation.
- Specific experience in corrective measures feasibility studies, data management and evaluation, interaction with contractors, preparation of detailed design plans and specifications, remediation construction bid evaluations, brownfields remediation and redevelopment, in-situ and ex-situ soil and groundwater remediation, vapor intrusion evaluations, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to select, coordinate, and manage subcontractors, estimate costs, and manage the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks.
- Proficiency in technical report writing and interaction with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplined project teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 25%.
