Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the plant's mechanical, electrical, and support systems to ensure operational reliability. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance as assigned to ensure functional performance and safe conditions.
  • Provide services for the construction, installation, modification, and maintenance of systems.
  • Safely work independently and follow all required procedures.
  • Maintain, lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical data, including vendor manuals and procedures.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on facility assets.
  • Fabricate replacement parts using tool room equipment.
  • Train other employees in the safe use of new equipment or machinery.
  • Maintain records on equipment and maintenance activities.
  • Conform to OSHA standards and local building codes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and other departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • One to two years experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Must be mechanically and electrically inclined.
  • Must be able to read and follow written work instructions, P&IDs and drawings with little to no supervision.
  • Move heavy parts 50 pounds using hoists, slings, carts, two person lifts, forklifts, or other handling methods. Move less than 50 pounds with or without hoists, slings, carts or other handling methods.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record for the past 3 years is required. Employee will be required to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record Check upon offer of employment and annually thereafter. An unacceptable record includes a DUI, Reckless Operations and or Fleeing the Scene of an Accident.
  • Knowledge of Lifting and rigging practices.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Conform to the standards and regulations of OSHA, state and local building codes, be knowledgeable of NFPA 70E electrical safety.
