Job Description
The role involves serving as a lead specialist and subject matter expert for a large healthcare facility, focusing on team leadership, client collaboration, and innovative planning solutions. Responsibilities include developing architectural concepts, leading project documentation, and maintaining client relationships while mentoring less experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- •Actively seek to advance the state of the art within the industry and develop innovative solutions.
- •Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
- •Lead user group meetings to collect and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
- •Communicate planning concepts to project teams and owners through verbal and graphic reports.
- •Translate planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients and project team members.
- •Lead the development, modification, and review of planning concepts and solutions.
- •Develop architectural drawings and specifications for project documentation.
- •Develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
- •Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
- •Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
- •Provide guidance and advice to other designers and project leaders.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
- •Minimum 10 years of related experience required.
- •Must have previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the health market.
- •Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- •Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
- •Must possess business acumen.
- •Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- •Must be able to lead less experienced team members.
- •Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.
- •Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.
- •Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
- •Travel required.
