Job Description
The Software Engineer at Insight M is responsible for developing and automating software solutions that support innovative aerospace systems and advanced data science, focusing on processing sensor data and utilizing machine learning to address environmental challenges, particularly methane emissions.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and maintain software for recording sensor data and cloud-native data processing
- •Implement computer-aided GIS analysis and machine learning for data extraction
- •Build automation for imaging and data processing systems
- •Practice continuous integration and deployment with automated testing
- •Work with various technologies including Python, Bash, SQL, Terraform, and Typescript
- •Engage in compositional engineering to create solutions for real-world problems
Requirements
- •Experience in software engineering, specifically with Python, Bash, SQL, Terraform, and Typescript.
- •Ability to work on single-board computers, field laptops, virtualized cloud environments, containers, web browsers, and lab automation frameworks.
- •Experience with continuous integration and deployment, automated testing, and working with a growing monorepo.
- •Demonstrated ability to build automation for data processing and analysis.
- •Commitment to working in a diverse, collaborative, and supportive environment.
- •Ability to work approximately a 40-hour workweek with flexibility in hours and location.
- •Willingness to occasionally put in extra hours during crunch periods.
