Job Description
The Automation Manager will lead a team responsible for building an Automation and Test Framework that connects critical infrastructure to the cloud, enhancing product reliability and customer experience. This role involves managing automation engineers, developing testing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Responsibilities
- •Manage a team of 5-10 automation engineers working on multiple products.
- •Provide technical leadership and mentorship in automated systems development.
- •Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and full-stack engineering.
- •Lead the development of an end-to-end automation strategy for testing activities.
- •Plan and execute quarterly roadmaps balancing product and engineering priorities.
- •Build a collaborative culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- •Architect and design software frameworks for reliability, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- •10 years experience building automated test frameworks and software tools for product development and validation.
- •5 years of hands-on execution-oriented technical management experience.
- •Understanding of framework architectures and tradeoffs between efficiency, scalability, and performance.
- •Software development experience.
- •Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a diverse fast paced customer-focused environment.
- •Experience creating and implementing hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
- •Technical understanding of communication protocols TCP, UART, and wireless.
- •Ability to design and develop hardware infrastructure for test applications, e.g. power measurement tools, RF testing, etc.
- •Experience with test instrumentation including the use of power supplies, power analyzers, battery simulators, call boxes, and GPS simulators.
