Job Description

The Sales Director will lead a team of Strategic Account Executives focused on the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries in Germany and Austria, driving sales growth and managing customer relationships. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 6 Strategic Account Executives
  • Hire, manage, and develop sales talent
  • Own and exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong customer and partner relationships
  • Support and coach the team to understand customer business needs
  • Effectively communicate the Celonis value proposition through proposals and presentations

Requirements

  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and a proven track record of successfully managing a team.
  • Deep expertise in leading direct sales teams and consistently achieving targets.
  • Strong personal background in sales, demonstrating success as an individual contributor.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships at the C-suite level, preferably with an established network in the Pharma and/or Chemical industries.
  • Ability to manage complex, long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working in both direct and matrix organizational structures.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with Partners, including consulting firms and enterprise technology providers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German (fluent) and English.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, effectively managing time and priorities to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth environment, approaching challenges with adaptability, creativity, and a growth mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to collaboration, inclusivity, and diversity.
