Job Description
The Head of UX at Celonis will lead the user experience and design strategy for the company's product portfolio, managing a globally distributed team of designers and researchers to create innovative and intuitive software experiences. This role involves building design strategies, overseeing research practices, and ensuring user-centered design principles are applied throughout the product development process.
Responsibilities
- •Lead the user experience and design strategy across the product solution portfolio.
- •Manage and scale a globally distributed team of designers and researchers.
- •Build the product design strategy based on user needs and intuitive product designs.
- •Oversee the research practice, design standards, design systems, and information architecture.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to drive innovation and efficiency.
- •Own the strategic growth and scaling of Product Design including UX Design and Research.
- •Hire, lead, and develop a high-performance team of designers.
- •Foster a culture of design excellence and the Celonis Design brand.
- •Influence and iterate on product roadmap and team deliverables.
- •Deliver horizontal changes across products including updates to information architecture and design systems.
- •Mentor the design team on product design best practices and architect the design strategy.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Design, Communication Design, Engineering, Psychology, or a related field.
- •Minimum of 10 years of experience in product design or product management, with a focus on user experience, user interface design, and customer research.
- •Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience with a track record of building and managing globally distributed product and design teams.
- •Minimum of 8 years of SaaS/PaaS preferred experience in working on enterprise product design and release management.
- •Skilled in applying usability principles and techniques through various stages of product development including requirements gathering, user journey mapping, creating lo-fi and hi-fi wireframes, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
- •Strong empathy for users, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and excellent analytical skills.
- •Demonstrated ability to advocate for user-centered design within and across teams to improve product usability.
- •Understanding of accessibility standards to ensure designs are inclusive for all users.
- •Exceptional communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
- •A compelling portfolio showcasing your abilities.
- •Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate strategic decisions into measurable outcomes.
- •A collaborative problem solver who can respectfully challenge decisions and commit wholeheartedly once a decision is made.
- •Quick decision-making skills based on business demands and a passion for staying abreast of technological advancements.
