Job Description

The Trade Compliance Analyst at Redwood Materials will ensure that international trade operations comply with laws and regulations, manage import/export records, and guide internal stakeholders on trade compliance policies. The role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of global trade compliance to facilitate efficient and compliant international trade transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records for import export transactions.
  • Interpret and apply trade regulations for compliance with customs and trade laws.
  • Guide internal stakeholders on trade compliance policies and procedures.
  • Classify products according to the Harmonized Tariff System.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage preferential trade agreements.
  • Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and customers for compliant transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in trade compliance, customs, or import export operations.
  • Strong understanding of global trade compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of trade laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage and maintain accurate records for import export transactions, ensuring documents are complete, accurate, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and apply trade regulations to ensure compliance with customs, import export, and trade laws.
  • Ability to classify products according to the Harmonized Tariff System for proper customs clearance.
  • Ability to evaluate opportunities to leverage preferential trade agreements and other trade facilitation programs.
  • Ability to work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and customers to facilitate efficient and compliant international trade transactions.
