Job Description
The Real Estate Specialist at New Leaf Energy will support real estate development activities for renewable energy projects, including managing due diligence for transactions, reviewing title reports, and assisting with title curative actions, while collaborating with various internal teams.
Responsibilities
- •Assist regional teams with real estate and title matters
- •Manage due diligence for real estate transactions under supervision
- •Review and summarize title reports and ALTA surveys for land development feasibility
- •Prepare and implement title curative action plans under supervision
- •Advise Development team on title curative activities
- •Advise Project Finance team on title and survey impacts on financing
- •Work with title companies and surveyors to resolve issues and clear title exceptions
- •Assist Project Finance and Development teams in negotiations on title curative questions
- •Review title work and identify title and survey issues for policy coverage
- •Draft various real estate documents under supervision
- •Track project tasks and communicate progress to teams
- •Perform research on real estate and title issues
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience.
- •Minimum of four years of title review and curative experience.
- •Minimum of two years of ALTA survey experience.
- •Ability to work independently, plan, and take initiative to accomplish objectives in a timely manner.
- •Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- •Exceptional proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
