Job Description
The Project Development Intern will assist the Clearway Development Team in the execution of renewable energy projects, focusing on tasks such as integrating land agreements, tracking project milestones, and utilizing GIS software for data analysis and mapping. This internship provides hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector while working collaboratively with various teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- •Support integration of land agreements into land management software
- •Track development milestones of renewable energy projects
- •Support development of alternative project development approaches
- •Prepare data for import into land management software
- •Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data using GIS software
- •Develop maps in ArcGIS Desktop for various formats
- •Support development of user interface for permitting and environmental teams
- •Complete competitive analysis for projects in specific market areas
- •Learn about project budgets and schedules
- •Present results of individual project to project leadership
Requirements
- •Current juniors or rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- •Ability to work well in a collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives.
- •Strong interpersonal skills, including the willingness to ask questions, listen to colleagues, and contribute ideas.
- •Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable, demonstrating eagerness to engage in work tasks.
- •Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
- •Exposure to or interest in learning the ArcGIS Online web platform.
- •Interest and fundamental knowledge of the renewable energy industry and US electricity infrastructure.
