Job Description
The Business Development Intern will support Clearway's West Business Development Team in evaluating and executing investment opportunities in renewable energy projects, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on market analysis and project development activities.
Responsibilities
- •Conduct analyses in Clearway's renewable energy financial modeling environment.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams on due diligence and project financial model inputs.
- •Perform quantitative analyses to support origination, development, and financing activities.
- •Assist in preparing detailed memos and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
- •Support preparation of RFP submittals and ongoing PPA negotiations.
- •Create and manage tools to monitor market activity and track internal origination strategy.
- •Support initiatives to improve datasets, tools, and business activities.
- •Complete a special project and present findings to the team.
Requirements
- •The Business Development Intern will be part of Clearway's West Business Development Team.
- •The intern will assist the Business Development team in the valuation, due diligence, and execution of investment opportunities of renewable energy projects.
- •We are looking for students in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- •This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning in June 2025.
- •The intern will also be assigned a special project to help advance in-depth market analysis and broader growth strategies that will be presented at the end of the internship.
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- •Ability to work well in a collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives.
- •Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.
- •Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
- •Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas for this position H-1B, TN, E-3, J-1 etc. or provide any assistance in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including OPT or CPT.
