Job Description
The Engineering Intern will support the BESS and High Voltage SCADA Engineering Teams at Clearway Energy Group, assisting with design documentation, data analysis, and troubleshooting operational issues related to Battery Energy Storage Systems and high voltage equipment during a 10-week summer internship.
Responsibilities
- •Work under the direction of Senior Engineers to assist teams in achieving goals
- •Prepare design documentation and specifications for new plant builds
- •Trend and analyze field data to identify performance improvements
- •Pull data related to high voltage faults for analytics and root cause analysis
- •Assist with troubleshooting telemetry and operational issues
- •Work with simulation models to develop plant control algorithms
Requirements
- •Current juniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- •Coursework in battery systems, power systems, networking, and/or control systems.
- •Proficiency in technical report writing and data analysis.
- •Strong users of Microsoft Excel and/or other analytic and modeling tools.
- •Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
- •Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.
- •Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas for this position (H-1B, TN, E-3, J-1, etc.) or provide any assistance in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including OPT or CPT.
