Job Description
The Product Engineer will support ArcGIS Pro on the Sharing team by developing software capabilities for transforming data into web items and testing authentication workflows to ensure secure data sharing. This role involves collaborating with the development team, conducting quality assurance, and contributing to the design of features that enhance the sharing of GIS data across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- •Collaborate with the development team to design and test authentication workflows for secure sign-in and data sharing
- •Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance procedures to ensure the reliability and security of sharing capabilities
- •Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure integrity and performance of the software
- •Determine product quality and release readiness during the development process
- •Stay updated on industry trends in security and GIS technology to enhance product offerings
Requirements
- •1 year of demonstrated experience in programming languages such as C or Python.
- •Experience in a software development environment, particularly in designing and testing authentication protocols SAML, OAuth, OIDC.
- •Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- •Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- •Bachelor's in computer science, GIS, geography, or a STEM related field.
